At yesterday's appointment we learned I'm dilated 3cm! And even better Sloane has finally began to drop. She's at -1 station, zero station is considered fully engaged. During labor she'll move to +1, +2, +3 station and so on until she's here!
Dr Sree offered to strip my membranes at the appointment, basically detaching the amniotic sack from my cervix. By doing so it would release natural hormones that begin labor. If it works it would start labor in 24-48 hours.
Chris and I declined though. It appears I'm progressing naturally on my own just fine, no need for the extra push. Shouldn't be long now! Although my co-workers insist I'm not miserable enough yet for Sloane to be here soon.
