Friends = Family, Round Two!

Seriously, just read this post (Friends = Family) from last year. Totally forgot about the toll, freezing weather and ice storm debacle!

Maybe we should try for a summer date to visit! There was a snow storm again this year, but it wasn't anything too bad. Steph and I still made it out for a Mama's Night out! Steph and I still talk often enough on the phone that our time and conversations together are more than just catching up. There is something to be said about a good therapeutic chit chat, great wine and amazing company!

The newest addition to our weekend is this little guy! In his defense he was here before, just slightly smaller and floating around happily inside of Mama. Too much!? Valentines day was just around the corner so we thought we'd do a little craft for our families. This is Steph helping Cooper give our cards the final touch!

Even the boys got involved.

We brought our baby bouncy chair up from the basement for Cooper. Although he had some competition for time in the chair. Every chance Sloane got she was kicking back and turning on the vibration! It took a good three days before we found time to make it disappear during nap time.

If we haven't said it enough, WE LOVE YOU Pacocha's! We LOVE our visits and can't wait for the next one, bring it on March! Can't wait!

Where Did January Go?

Maybe it's the snow, maybe it's the cold, maybe it's all the cleaning up from the Holiday, recovering from the travel or just plain enjoying life, but January disappeared!  In the beginning the snow wasn't too bad, even refreshing to get outside and "play".  I quote play because taking a walk to the end of block in the un-shoveled snow is enough to thrill our little lady. But we aren't all fun and games around here, you have to earn your keep!

The snow now… it's gotten old!

January was also filled with a couple firsts. We received some credit dollars at our gym and decided to use them towards swim classes for Sloane! I was so proud of her that first day, she didn't even hesitate on getting into the water or playing any of the games. She was even able to pull herself up out of the pool on her own. MAMA'S MIND BLOWN! We've been having a lot of fun ever since, learning new songs and KICKING, KICKING, KICKING and KICKING, KICKING, KICKING.  Next week will be our last class and we'll move on to find something new to fill our Thursdays. Maybe the children's museum or library programs.

Another first, a hair cut! Sloane has been rocking a mini mullet and it had to go! Just a little trim later and we were all evened out.  Even though the pictures don't show it, her hair is a crazy unmanageable mess! Or it's unmanageable because she won't let Mom manage it! Mind of her own that little one.

Happy First Birthday Mace!

I'm falling behind in this new year. It's been a few weeks now since our beautiful god-daughter Macy Ann turned one year old!

Here's the Bell of the ball!

The parties theme was Winter ONEderland, a perfectly fitting theme for her January birthday.

I know I've said it before, but every time Ella and Sloane get together it's crazy to watch them grow together. They were in full sprints running around the kitchen, to the living room, down the hallway and back to the kitchen. Speedy little demons, but nothing a good glass of milk and Bubble Guppies couldn't calm down!
