2nd Anniversary + New Camera!

Our 2nd anniversary this year fell on a Monday. If you're following along with my posts you have already seen that we spent the weekend celebrating the marriage of Vic and Jason! We both worked on Monday and when I came back from work we planned a nice dinner out. There were flowers waiting for me and in our true style....instead of a card... Chris bought me an US weekly magazine, got to love him! We tried a new restaurant in town called Bella Vita, obviously Italian, everything was great.

We decided a day together with maybe some spa services was way better than gifts; so that will be coming up sometime soon. Here is my sneaky way of seeing how often my own hubs checks in to read the blog....I have a little extra something up my sleeve for our anniversary...a late gift you could say. We'll see how long it takes him to start questioning me about it, don't tell!

On another note, we finally heard from the camera doctor. They had told us we would have to submit the camera FOUR TIMES before they would consider it a lemon and let us buy a new one. We were only on round two. They called earlier this week and let us know they will be giving an in store credit towards the purchase of a new camera. Happy day! I loved, loved, loved our camera, it took great quality photos for a point and shoot and was nice and compact enough for taking anywhere. Although I am always on the look out for good deals to get a DSLR camera too and Chris took that as I really wanted a DSLR not my point and shoot to begin with. Either way, I'm still undecided but chances are we are going to use the credit and upgrade to an even better camera. I'm pretty excited! Not sure yet if it's going to be a DSLR or another point and shoot. We'll see, either way keep an eye out for some better photos to return to the blog! I promise!

Queen Victoria for the Day! 09.24.11

Okay, so she didn't act like a needy queen or diva on the big day. Instead Victoria the was the cool, calm and collected Vic I love! September 24th Vic married her soul mate Jason! It was such an honor to be standing (rather sitting in this church) at their side on the big day.

Everything about the weekend was perfect! After the rehearsal on Friday night we all met at Seven Seas for dinner, best broiled fish ever! So good! The day of the wedding we met with a slight challenge... unpredictable rain... or maybe it was predictable but it was a pain in the butt and a pain in my hairdo! We were able to sneak a few outside shots at the golf course after the ceremony, just enough misty rain to ruin a girls hair! I digress...

The reception was decorated beautifully in purple and green and the cake was to die for! I posted a picture below and thought about taking a picture of the cut piece so you could see all the delicious goodies inside but that meant putting the fork down and that wasn't an option!

Congratulations again to Vicky and Jason as they embark on what is sure to be a wonderful life together! Love you two! Cheers!

Time Warner Cable 5K

Okay...So I'm a week behind but September 17th marked the one year anniversary a good friend of ours was in a horrible accident while out hunting that led to him losing both his legs. In honor of Rich, Autumn and Annessa a bunch of us ran/walked the Appleton Time Warner Cable 5k.

One year later Rich did just as he set out to do and was back in the woods hunting. More than anything this walk was to support his family. They are all so strong and as emotional a day this would be for Rich it is just as emotional for them to once again say goodbye and send him out to woods and hope for the best. Their families strength is the kind of strength that just blows you away and you can only dream that if faced with such turmoil that you could equally be as strong.

During the walk Rich's wife Autumn received an awesome text, Rich got a doe! Not only that, but later in the day we were all told he also shot another 8 pointer! Congrats to Rich on such a successful hunting trip and congrats to Autumn on yet another wonderful piece of "artwork" to be hung in your beautiful industrial home...you're so lucky! ;)

Camera Update...

I got my camera back in time to snap a few pictures for Jacki's baby shower but as it turned out...it was doing that same thing as it was before we took it in to be fixed.

So back to the doctor it went, I'm not happy at all. Chris checked into what the lemon policy is and we would have to try and have it fixed FOUR TIMES! Four! Unbelievable!
