Scarface - Halloween 2016

So for Halloween this year Sloane seemed to think instead of Cinderella she wanted to be a Scarface Cinderella! She had a little accident at school while walking from one school to the other. The friend who's hand she was holding decided to start running and poor Sloane didn't get the memo.

This was the picture we got first from daycare, Chris and I just about freaked.

Clearly though after they got it cleaned, she was doing much better. But seriously that thing still didn't look good.

And then there was this sad sad looking picture while she waited for me to pick her up from school and go to the doctor.  Thankfully no stitches, it was a clean cut so we were able to just have the doctors use their magic glue.

Our tough cookie just couldn't miss dress up day at dance though! So a little Tylenol and costume and she was one BAMF Cinderella!!

Both girls were ready to go by weekend to go trick-or-treating. BAMF Cinderella and a ladybug.

Sloane did such a great job showing Blair where she had to go and what she had to do. Helping her up the stairs and holding her bucket out. Naturally she also picked out her favorite (I mean Blairs favorite) candy.

And just like last year, Sloane was more excited to get home and pass out candy than she was to be out trick-or-treating herself. Such a sweet giver. Love her.

This one just wanted her milk.

That Fall Feeling

There is so much to love about fall which is exactly why it's our favorite time of the year. There's just something about going to a zoo and being comfortable with the temperature. Not too hot, not to cold. This year we went up to the Minoqua Zoo. It's very different than the Milwaukee Zoo or Brookfield Zoo in IL, but it was still great for the girls. Lots of free roaming animals including a deer sanctuary where you can get up close and personal with them.  The highlight of the day though were the giraffe's.

Then of course there is that small little event we enjoy celebrating every year. For our anniversary we spent the day together at Sundara Spa in Wisconsin Dells. It was such a great and relaxing day. We even got to meet up briefly with our old neighbors from Illinois. Their annual girls trip ended up being the same weekend! It was back them to Plover to relieve Uncle Tim and Aunt Sarah of the insanity they lived all day watching all four kids. A bonfire and some booze fixes everything!

It's tradition to pull out our toasting glasses every year, champagne or not. This year we thought Sloane would think it was fun to have her own glass. So we all shared some sparkling juice instead of champagne. We also keep the party rolling and added in a fun night out at a local foodie event.

What would fall be though without some apple picking. There was an unseasonably cold (of maybe just cold for this year) morning. Hence the hats and jackets. After an hour or so it was warm enough we all had our jackets off. This was Blair's first time and she loved picking up the apple off the ground.

Sloane preferred the "in the tree" approach.

As if there wasn't enough fun Chris and I hit up a packer game and went to Nashville! Chris for business and me for pleasure, and Oh what fun I had! Amazing entertainment, relish food and lots of fun to site see and tour.

Then of course there are falling leafs and painting pumpkins. So much always going on in fall just before the holidays, where the madness doesn't stop! Bring on the turkey!

The First of Many Firsts

Everything is back. Dance Class, Gymnastics and School!  We started dance off with a bang... and a rip. Day one and we can't keep out tights from having holes in them. It's just how we do things around here lately.  Alone with dance class a new season of So You Think You Can Dance is back on and because this season is all about contestants 13yrs and under I thought it would be fun for Sloane to watch with me. She LOVES it, and I love having something fun for us to watch together. She likes to have me rewind some dances to watch again, and contemporary dance is her favorite.

We also started gymnastics which has been blast! Nothing like a big gym for Sloane to throw herself around and burn off some energy. She absolutely loves it and is having a lot of fun learning new things. Including her confidence.

Then came 4K! We knew Sloane would love school, she's always been smart as a whip.
Favorite Color: Purple + Pink
Favorite Snack: Cheetos (because they are her BF's fav)
Favorite Dinner: Cheeseburger and Yogurt
Favorite Veggie: Broccoli and Carrots
Favorite Drink: Water
When She Grows Up: Sloane wants to be a teacher at Little Scholars Beginnings

Blair's First Pumpkin Patch

The best way to start the fall season is with a trip to the pumpkin patch. This year we enjoyed the company of our good friends for the weekend and at the pumpkin patch. Bonus when your good friend is a fabulously, amazing photographer and brings her camera with!

Blair was beyond excited over the petting zoo. Especially the pony, as she loves horses! Clearly her favorite. I'm sensing a birthday theme coming on!

We also did the corn maze, and boy did we have fun getting lost in there. Maggie and Sloane just kept running and turning every corner making them difficult to keep up with.

When we have a slight issue mid corn maze! Just can't forgot the fun that was trying to find our way out when it really mattered... and failing!

They were two peas in a pod... on a pumpkin!

 Or on the ground! LOL

Why wouldn't our kiddo be the one to pretend like they hanging over the edge of super steep stairs that even made me feel uncomfortable to climb! Kids and their lack of fear.

Such beautiful weather, fantastic company and a wonderful day with the family.
