Sloane's 4th Birthday Events!

At Sloanes request her fourth birthday was a "mermaid" party! So we took the under the sea theme literal and had a great time! She had tasty under the sea themed food and mermaid tail cupcakes. I couldn't resist having Zest Bakery whip up some themed cookies as well. So yummy!

Nana and Papa came through again with a giant walking balloon, in none other than little misses favorite princess right now.

Sloane also got a new bike for her birthday and is getting better and better each time she practices riding it.

Little Miss Attitude... we are certainly in for it with this one!

Cousin love! We are only missing AJ who I believe was down for a nap at this time.

We also surprised Sloane on her birthday by pretending we were taking her to school. After dropping Blair off we broke the news that she was coming with us on a special birthday trip to Appleton. This was her jail break picture!

Sloane and Dad heading off to the Appleton Childrens Museum while Mom got a little birthday pampering all her own.

We then met back up for lunch time, you don't realize how quickly you forget what a family of three feels like when you add another. It was so great to spend this special time with her. We look forward to doing it for both girls!

Then together we all went and got some pampering done. This was Sloanes very first pedicure and they treated her like a princess. She got to sip water from a fancy glass and they even pulled out a try of cookies for her. She was in heaven!

Haha! So relaxed!

We capped the amazing day off with a little trip to Costco and our favorite bakery with the best iced cookies around! I see traditions starting!

12 Months: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

My oh my how did this year go so fast? We could have sworn we were just packing up the duplex, Blair was still sleeping next to the bedroom dresser in a tiny rocker bassinet on the floor, and we were just moving in and getting settled to our new home. Yet, here we are 12 months later. MIND. BLOWN.

Auntie J came through again and took beautiful one year pictures of baby Blair and even a few with her big sister. We tried to re-create Blairs flower ring picture, or at least something similar but she is beyond curious and far to impatient to sit still long enough. Her personality has sky-rocketed and there's no telling when it's coming down!

Blair's first birthday party theme was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, you've grown so much and come so far. I adored making the little bits of decoration for her party and it all came together just as planned.

Not a big fan of the cake smash. Turns out neither of the girls were.

Sloane and Keegan letting Blair know she may never actually get to open presents on her own... ever.

Who cares if you don't get to open your own gifts. The coolest part is the paper and the gift cards. Sloane too was more fascinated by the cards, than by the presents.

I would also just like to point out your Daddy started hiding your money from the very beginning! Proof! Haha!

Blairs First Easter 2016

We kicked off our Easter celebration at an event put on by our church. Sloane seems to be an old pro with the Easter bunny now and this being Blair's first time we didn't really know what to expect.

She was a smiley trooper!

Our family.... and who Sloane perceives as her three BFF's right now! (Sophie Jankowski, Evalee Kraemer and Maggie Torhorst)

We then hit the road for Waukesha, and can we stop for a quick moment and just marvel over how big Sloane is getting!?! I think the transition to the booster car seat really made it apparent our first born baby isn't a baby anymore! *Sniff *Sniff (flood of tears down my face)!

Back at Nana and Papa's we dyed eggs and naturally had an Easter Egg hunt.

Makes me laugh every time Nana and Papa want a picture with all their grandkids. Nothing but pure chaos. It will only be a few more years though before they are all the age where they hold still for pictures and days like these will just be distant memories. Boy, am I feeling sappy today or what@!?

Lastly was Easter morning and church. Blairs first Easter basket and Sloanes fascination with church pews made this quite the fun year!

Every. single. time. But I heart this image because it looks like they are the center of a swirling tornado, and lets be real, they are! This sums up life with these two itty bitty's perfectly.

Not sure where their crazy comes from though...
