First Big Trip Away

For a couple years now we've been telling ourselves we should take a vacation. We haven't taken one since our honeymoon. Then we had Sloane... then the Pacochas had Cooper... then they had Brady... and we had Blair. Life kept on moving, so we finally decided it was time to slow it down. We figured 7 nights in the Caribbean would do the trick!

Here we are about to board the ship. This was Chris' first cruise. Love the distortion on this picture because we all look really thin! Then again... we all were before eating and drinking for 7 days straight!

Our first port was beautiful Roatan Honduras. We can't say enough good things about this port, very welcoming and beyond beautiful!

We also did an excursion while in Roatan. We hiked up the mountains 600 feet above sea level while checking out the local creatures and plant. It was perfect to get off the ship and moving after a full day at sea and plenty of onboard indulgences!

We had a blast each night getting dressed up and taking in a show.

We may or may not have coordinated many of our outfits...

Naturally there was an awful lot of alcohol consumption.

Which lead to a some pretty fun and spontaneous nights.

Next up was Belize

and Costa Maya

... and finally wrapping our post up was Cozumel.

Another beautiful long day at sea, where our hot men took in some rock wall climbing onboard.

Our last dinner toast on the last night. Our last daily consumption of Escargot, and that bread.... oh man, that bread!

The most perfect sunset to end an amazing trip with amazing friends.

9 months: Pull Ups!

We started pulling up on everything this month! I wish I had more to say, but we've been having so much fun and every day she amazes us, we are clearly under her spell. That goes for everyone, Mom, Dad AND Sloane. Love this little nugget.

Winter Fun Memories

Just a little recap of the fun that was had this winter. We are more than ready for winter to be over, but all of these great pictures were a nice reminder of all the fun we did have.

Nana and Papa Wendorf brought all the "older" girls to Sesame Street Live, bless their hearts! The girls had a blast and it was all Sloane could talk about for days.

Dad is going to be in big, BIG, big trouble if Sloane's love for trying on ALL of mom's shoes turns into love for her own shoes. Sloane has also started the want to try on clothes when we go to the store. She will bring in piles and piles of outfits and patiently try them all on....MIND BLOWN

All of Blairs teeth started coming in full force. We entered the 'chew on everything' phase of our life.

Who knew?! Sloane LOVES egg salad, and she loves helping to make it even more!

One of our favorite winter past times is the CW Childrens Museum and we certainly got our use this year, with both ladies!

Nothing says I love winter like Frozen Yogurt... or is that summer?! Who cares!? Frozen Yogurt ALL year long!

On the plus side.... all that running leads to this!

No Wisconsin winter is complete without some sledding. We went with our cousins and family. Blair had a blast sleeping the whole time and mom got an extra workout in lugging her up and down.

Valentines day we made big pink cookies for our Grandmas and Grandpa's. Made with love, and maybe a little something extra...

Bair spent a lot of time strapped on to mom, otherwise I would get nothing done! It was nice to finally be able to switch her to the back so I could actually reach ANYTHING!

Just because that smile.

We also felt it was time Blair start helping out around the house, instead of always being the one to make the mess. It's not going so well...

Best of Our 2015

So it's no surprise the Best of our 2015 revolves around the girls. Like the end of 2014, this past year was a mad house. It's hard to sum it all up in 10 posts. They certainly can't capture the emotion, excitement and nerves each of us went through. The tough times and the pure joy.

So this post is actually from 2014.... but I posted it in 2015... so it totally counts! This is when we shared with the family the name we chose for our second beautiful little lady.
Round Two: 24 Weeks

So much to love in this one, I mean who doesn't love growing bigger and bigger and then having your picture taken! Then of course my future Son-in-Law Brady Pacocha was born!! It was great practice to bring Sloane with to see what it will be like for her when her little sister arrived!
Round Two: 32 Weeks and Maternity Pictures, Sprinkle & Brady

"So one week from hearing about the arrival of our little one, we have been up, we have been down, we have been stressed, relaxed, worried and we've been everywhere in between."  This post was the start of a whole new chapter in our families book.
Round Two: 40 Weeks and so it is

Pretty obvious why this one made the list. Pure Joy.
Welcome Baby Blair

2 weeks later.... why not pack up your entire life...again... and move!
House a Home: Third Times a Charm

When you throw a birthday party two weeks after having a baby and 3 days after moving into a new house, you find any reason or excuse to stay in your pajamas!
Happy 3rd Birthday Sloane: Pancakes and Pajama's

Sloane's first organized extracurricular. She loves getting ready for dance and seeing her friends at dance. Unfortunately her attention span is thin. It's all fine and dandy your kiddo is the free spirit in the bunch until other girls start following her lead. Facepalm.
Dance with Me

Historically speaking October is an extremely long, busy and stressful month. This year was no different.
Thankful

After moving, spending a winter pregnant with a two year old in a small duplex, closing on a house, having a baby, moving again, celebrating birthdays and starting back to work... We needed a mini break. Thankfully to our rescue was a yearly work conference Chris has in Chicago. While he worked I got my time back in the city and even got to pop a train out to the old stomping grounds to lunch with friends. A little dinner and wine at night was just the relaxation we needed.
We Heart Chicago

Things had to happen with a bang!
Happy Flu Year

Happy Flu Year!

What started as a nice and casual, easy New Years Eve.... quickly became something else...

We were invited to our friends house for snacks, beverages and fun with the kiddos. Much fun was indeed had and as usual it's fun to see old and new friends to catch up on the past year.

What happened next we clearly unexpected, well maybe from an over imbibed adult, but not from the 8th month old baby. Vomit. Vomit everywhere. Poor Blair threw up a fair amount right now Chris' back, all over the back bar of our friends basement. On the plus side, it was on the tiled floor which was easier to clean up. On the downside, the smell was horrible and it splashed everywhere when it hit the floor. Got the visual?! So here I am, mortified, and my hands and knees cleaning as fast as I can while our friends got Chris a new shirt.

The reason we love our friends so much?! Because they were right there on the floor cleaning OUR babies puke and because in light of the UGH situation they still have enough wit to crack a joke and make us laugh.... enter. this. t-shirt!

Happy Flu Year All 2016!

The "fun" sadly didn't end there. The next day Sloane fell victim, in and all over dads car, on the way home. She was our for most of Friday and Saturday. By Saturday late night, Chris was next and following suit Sunday morning I was the last to catch it. So we ended 2015 with vomit and started 2016 with vomit. Hope that's not an omen for the new year!

Christmas Time 2015

My how the years have changed. I remember Sloane on her first Christmas and thought to myself, there could be nothing better than this. Turns out, seeing Sloane interact with Blair on her first Christmas just piled move love and joy on top of the love/joy pile!

We started the holiday season with the Wendorf side of the family coming up to Plover to party for the weekend. The girls, as usual were crazy and wild. Things were loud and stressful and honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way!

The perfect meal.

Blair's first taste of our families spaghetti dinner. She LOVED it. She passed the test, we'll keep her!

The next weekend was Christmas with the Casey family in Port Edwards.  The kiddo's ran wild as did the adult beverages. Per the usual. Chris' cousin Jaime got a new pup and by pup i mean, giant great dane puppy. So of course we took our beverages to go, where drinking and walking down the street isn't necessarily frowned upon!

Too much tissue, shine paper and excitement!~

8 month old "puppy" on my lap. Yikes! And the other two Casey ladies keeping it real. Double Yikes!

Then....

SANTA CAME!! Both girls we're very good this year ;)

How one small child can create such a mess so quickly.... is beyond me!

The very full heart.
