Round Two: 40 Weeks And So It Is...

This past week has been quite the whirl wind. On Thursday our doctor confirmed Blair would need to be delivered via c-section. There are various reasons why and although it's very disappointing we can't help but agree it's healthiest for me and for Blair. So tomorrow, April 16th, we will be meeting our newest lady love! The excitement certainly out-weighs the grief but on Thursday I was beside myself as my hopes and dreams of a VBAC faded away. Sloane was her ever-caring self and was letting me know it was okay by singing a Doc McStuffins song...

"Hey what's going on? Tell me what's wrong.
I know there's something we can do.
It might not be clear and that's why I'm here,
Tell me what's bothering you.
Got something on your mind
Don't you keep it inside.
You're gonna be fine.
Hey tell me what's wrong. What's going on?"

For real, she knows every word. You Seriously can't help but smile at that lady. The one didn't get a smile out of my "off day" was our little pup Lola. She's a complete Mama's girl and we're pretty sure she was feeling stressed right along with me as her... "eliminations"... started to become more runny, mucus-y and... um... bloody, everywhere! We brought her to the Vet on Monday and they agreed it is likely stress. So we've been working on fixing that with some hamburger and rice food, probiotics and medication. Just what we needed :) What we also needed was for Sloane to tell us her ear hurt, and it was red to prove her right! But nothing some rest, nice warm bath and some tea tree oil didn't clear up.  I was sure she would wake up Tuesday with an epic ear infection and we would be heading to the walk-in clinic. Thankfully it cleared up on it's own.

We spent the weekend "watching" the Masters and enjoying some time, our last time, together as a family of three. Parks, Bubbles and (being Masters weekend and all...) the golf course!

Next thing we know it's Wednesday (today) and we are set to close on our first home. Wait!! What!?! Thankfully, after finally finding a home we love here in Plover, this has been the least stressful part of our current lives. For mama anyway. A co-worker of Chris let us know about a family moving out of state and thought their house might be just what we were looking for. So look we did, and he was right. The family is super great and very much just like us which made purchasing our new home without the fees of a realtor super smooth and easy. We are extremely lucky to have found them and their beautiful home, that as of 9:15a this morning is now OUR beautiful home! We aren't moving in until May 1, which as you can imagine with Blair knocking on the door tomorrow, is a blessing!

So one week from hearing about the arrival of our little one, we have been up, we have been down, we have been stressed, relaxed, worried and we've been everywhere in between. There is not much we can say we didn't feel this week.... perhaps pure bliss and joy? We'll be getting a full dose of that tomorrow for sure! This is not just a turn of the page in our book, this is an entirely new chapter about to begin and we can't wait.
