Our Home in Appleton

Oh yeah! I haven't mentioned anything regarding how the sale of our home is going. That's kind of important considering we can't go anywhere until this house sells!

Since going up on the market January 9th (about three weeks ago) we've bee averaging 2 showings a week, which we consider pretty great. Comments have always been very positive and we've been told it shows just like a brand new home. On the not so positive side some comments have been that the location is not ideal, not enough square footage, or the lot seems a little small. To which we say oh well, not much we can do about that, and just mow the lawn once you'll sing a different tune! We don't think the snow helps very much and we have picture posted of what the yard looks like at various times of the year.  We also had an open house this past Sunday while we were down in Illinois and had 6 groups come though in the one hour we were open. Unfortunately none of them were serious buyers, probably more like noisy neighbors wanting to get a peak into our home.

The one small beam of hope though is a showing from last week. Their realtor contacted ours to ask about the unfinished apron at the end of our driveway and if there was a street assessment coming up. We knew there was rumor our road was to be repaved and gutters put in within the year (that's why we never paved it) but we came to find out it's happening this summer! Anyway, after giving them the street assessment information we hadn't heard from them for a short while. We've come to find out since that they are still interested (HAPPY DANCE, LEG KICK!) and are only on vacation right now and plan to resume house hunting when they return. Fingers crossed~!!
