First Father-Daughter Dance

As a family we attended Chris' coworkers wedding recently. The wedding was in Peoria, IL and we stayed overnight Friday and Saturday. We certainly learned our lesson with staying in a hotel with our little miss and learned the importance of keeping her on a schedule. Those were two very sleepless nights, so sleepless in fact we lapsed our judgement and let her sleep in bed with us.  I "woke up" (never really fell asleep) to find her spread out between Chris and I. Her head buried in my shoulder/neck and her feet in Chris' face.  That was fun...

The wedding was in a beautiful grand cathedral and the reception at a seafood restaurant called Jonah's. So of course there was seafood galore, so delicious! In Heaven! We Heart Oysters!

The other fun part of the night was the dancing. This was Sloane's first wedding and although we had to chase her around everywhere (totally understand "mom" shoes now, although I still wore my platforms) it was pretty cool to see her out on the dance floor, dancing and watching all the other kids. She was so stinking cute dancing out there with her new friends AND with her daddy!

My heart was melting watching them dance together. This will make for such a beautiful side-by-side picture on her wedding day... urgh... we love her so much!

At Church...doing our best to entertain this crazy lady

Needed a short snooze in Dad's arms before the big party

 Look Mom! We're dancing!
