5 Months

Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while. I don't really have any excuse.

Sloane turned 5 Months...oh about 2 weeks ago! Here are her stats...

Weight: 14 lbs

Eye Color: Blue

Hair Color: Blonde with red undertones

Home Turf: Current home turf is Nana and Papa Wendorf's. We've been here for 6 weeks. Last week Wednesday we became homeowners again and closed on the house in Plainfield. By this time next week we will be moved in!

Sleeping Habits: Sloane was sleeping through the night from about 1 month to 4 1/2 months. In the last few weeks we've had some tough nights. She wakes up multiple times and sometimes for no good reason. Lately we've been giving her a 3oz bottle and rocking her back to sleep. That will change once we get to the new house and can start some sleep training without having to worry about keeping Nana and Papa awake at 2am.

Eating Habits: Started rice cereal at 4 months. She could hold her head upright for long periods of time and sat up nicely with support. She also showed interest in what we were eating at the dinner table by grabbing at the spoon. She is no a pro at eating her rice cereal and loves playing with the spoon when she's all done. Next step in the following weeks will be to shift her schedule a bit and try working on a breakfast/lunch/dinner routine before we start real foods. She is currently taking in about 35 oz of formula a day

Chit Chat: Babble is in full swing. Yap, Yap, Yap that's all we hear these days. Her new favorite noise besides her insanely cute giggles is a Maaaaa and Baaaa wet sound. She puts her lips together and basically spits all over the place.

Play Time: Sloane no longer enjoys time on her back and the bald spot on the back of her head thanks her for that one! She has a mini mullet <-- no big deal. Back time is very short lived as she rolls over to her stop right away. She hasn't quite got the hang of getting back onto her back yet, we thought she had mastered that at one month, apparently not. She will also spend some time now sitting upright with the support of a boppy pillow. Her time there is usually pretty limited unless she has her cousin Ella to watch. She finds Lola entertaining as well when we play fetch. Big Smiles.

New and Exciting News: Sloane will have another cousin to play with in February. Another girl for Tony and Jacki to be named Macy. We can't wait for her arrival!
